Kriminalvården is growing – we are building new, renovating, and expanding and are now looking for more employees.
Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, detention centers, and client transport.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The role of Expert is based on three main areas: prevention, strengthening, and development. In the Security Department, you will have a central function for the entire Kriminalvården. The complex operations of Kriminalvården in relation to the increased need for more places for inmates in prisons and detention centers present you with significant challenges but also great opportunities to lead the authority's work in fire safety issues. You will have many collaborative areas and, together with two other experts, drive the fire safety agenda. The tasks are shaped collaboratively within the group, and the content of the position can be partially adapted based on your experience and interests.
The work includes, among other things, investigation and management of issues related to technical fire safety so that fire safety matters are considered and handled correctly throughout the authority. In your work, you will take into account current legislation and relate it to Kriminalvården's organization to prevent risks and achieve reasonable fire safety for both new construction and existing operations. Support and guidance in fire issues are provided to several national and regional functions within both security and property. You will also work with organizational fire safety and assist our various operations through advice and training in fire safety. In addition to systematic fire safety work, other tasks within other security technical areas may be included.
The position involves some travel within Sweden.
